These terms apply to private guided tours provided by Henrik Mortensen under the name Mortensen CPH. They are intended to make the arrangements clear and straightforward.
1. Enquiries, Booking and Payment
Submitting an enquiry is simply the first step. Once we have agreed the date, starting time, number of guests, price and any particular wishes, I will send you written confirmation of the arrangements together with an invoice and a link for secure online payment.
Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is required to confirm the booking and secure the date. Payment can be made by card through a secure payment provider or by bank transfer, as stated in your confirmation email.
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received. I will confirm receipt by email.
All prices are quoted in euros (EUR). The agreed price will not change after your booking has been confirmed unless you request a change to the arrangements or we agree additional costs.
2. What Is Included
Private Copenhagen is a three-hour private walking tour for one party of 1–10 guests. The price covers my private guiding service for the agreed duration.
Unless specifically stated in your booking confirmation, transport, admission fees, food, drinks and other purchases are not included.
Beyond Copenhagen is a five-hour private excursion for one party of 1–10 guests. The agreed price covers my guiding service unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation. Transport, admission fees, refreshments and other third-party costs are additional.
If, at your request and with your approval, I purchase tickets or other services on your behalf, the cancellation and refund conditions of the relevant provider will apply.
3. Cancellation by You
Under Danish consumer law, the usual statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date.
I nevertheless offer the following cancellation policy:
- If you cancel 48 hours or more before the agreed starting time, I will refund the full tour fee, less any agreed third-party costs that cannot be recovered.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours before the starting time, the tour fee is non-refundable.
- A no-show is non-refundable.
If you need to change the date or starting time, please contact me as early as possible. I will do my best to accommodate the change, subject to availability. A change is confirmed once we have agreed it in writing.
4. Weather
Copenhagen tours normally go ahead in rain, wind or cold weather, so please dress for the conditions.
If the weather becomes severe enough to make the tour unsafe, I may change the route, suggest another time or date, or cancel the tour.
If I cancel because of weather conditions, you may choose between rescheduling the tour, subject to availability, or receiving a full refund of the tour fee.
If you decide not to take the tour because of ordinary Copenhagen weather, the normal cancellation terms above apply.
5. Changes or Cancellation by Me
Very occasionally, illness, severe weather or circumstances outside my control may make it impossible for me to provide the agreed tour.
If that happens, I will contact you as soon as possible and offer either another suitable date or time, or a full refund of the tour fee.
Because the experience is offered as a personally guided tour, I will not substitute another guide without your agreement.
Travel, accommodation, transport and other arrangements booked separately with third parties are not part of the tour booking and are not reimbursed by me, except where required by applicable law.
6. Routes, Opening Hours and Access
Routes are individually planned and may be adjusted according to your interests, walking pace, weather and conditions in the city.
Historic buildings, churches, royal residences and other attractions may occasionally be closed or inaccessible because of ceremonies, official events, security measures, restoration work or other circumstances outside my control.
Where possible, I will let you know in advance and suggest a suitable alternative.
If visiting a particular building or attraction is especially important to you, please let me know when we plan the tour.
7. Starting Time and Late Arrival
Please aim to be at the agreed meeting point a few minutes before the tour begins.
If you are delayed, please contact me as soon as possible. I will of course do what I can to accommodate a late arrival, but other commitments may mean that the tour still has to finish at the originally agreed time.
If you do not attend the tour and have not contacted me, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
8. Walking, Accessibility and Personal Belongings
Private Copenhagen is primarily a walking experience in a historic city, sometimes involving cobbled streets, uneven surfaces, steps and busy traffic.
Please let me know before booking if anyone in your group has accessibility requirements. There is no need to provide medical information — simply tell me what practical adjustments would make the tour work well for you. I will adapt the route where possible.
Please follow any safety instructions I give during the tour, particularly in traffic or on uneven surfaces. Personal belongings remain your own responsibility.
9. If Something Is Not Right
If anything about the tour does not meet what we agreed, please tell me as soon as possible so that I have an opportunity to put it right.

These terms and your booking are governed by Danish law.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Any dispute that we cannot resolve between us will be dealt with by the court or consumer dispute body having jurisdiction under applicable law.
